Just another day

Well, to begin this blogging habit, I'll start off by telling you about my day. Nothing special, actually. I went to work as usual. We have "summer-time", which means that we work shorter days in the summertime. That is just the best thing since sliced bread! :) Most people use this to get home earlier, of course. Me, being the incurable sleepyhead that I am, use this to sleep in a little longer in the morning. Of course, that's not what I plan each evening. So I set my alarm for the same time as always. But somehow my brain (which otherwise is a total zombie in the morning) remembers that I CAN sleep longer if I want, and so I end up snoozing and snoozing and snoozing. Still, I love "summer-time". :)

Oh, did I say that my day was just ordinary? Not so. In fact, something which is nothing less than a miracle happened today. I have been planning to plant some flowers on the balcony for the last four months, but never gotten around to it. But today I did! Of course, seeing as how it is the end of JUNE now, there were not a whole lot of seeds left to choose from. In fact, I was only able to find one type. It was not the nicest flower, but it was okay. The thing is, it is supposed to grow for two years, so I'm not going to get rid of it next year, either... Oh, well, we'll have to see if it survives. I'm not sure it will, because the seeds were so TINY that I'm not sure if I got them into the earth, or whether they just all disappeared. It's going to be interesting to see if any of them survives.

I tried a new dinner today, as well. It was a chicken dish that a guy from work told me about. It was really yummy (and not very healthy). I liked it a lot, but I don't think my stomach appreciated all the sour cream as much as I did. Oh, well.
